Frances Elaine Baker, age 67, Hardwicks Creek Road, Clay City, KY passed away at her residence on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Born in Winchester, KY she was the daughter of the late Richard and Lorraine Jackson Roe. Elaine was an attendance clerk for 27 years with the Powell County Board of Education and she was a member of Vaughns Mill First Church of God. She is survived by her husband, Carl Raymond Baker; two daughters, Stephanie Lockett of South Carolina and Glenda (Edward) Hurst of Clay City; one brother, Lynn (Patsy) Roe of Clay City; six grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Vires, Ritchie Howell, Carl (Katlyn) Howell, Cati Hurst, Hunter Ward and Casey Hurst; special niece, Rosalyn (Walter Lee) Everett of Clarksville, OH, special nephew, William (Shelly) Russell of Waynesville, OH along with numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Brad Epperson and Carl Howell will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Visitation is 5:00 P.M. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Bend Cemetery with Ritchie Howell, Carl Howell, Hunter Ward, Edward Hurst and William Russell serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the members of Vaughns Mill First Church of God Sewing Circle. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
