Larry Ray Newcomb, age 68, of Clay City, Kentucky passed away September 6, 2017 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, Kentucky. Born in Logan, West Virginia he was the son of the late Raymond Newcomb and Patty Dunn Newcomb. He was a U S Army veteran and a member of the Bluegrass Division Of The Society Of Explosive Engineers. He was a former employee of Hinkle Contracting Corp. and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, David "Butch" Newcomb and by his sister, Shelby Newcomb. Larry Newcomb is survived by his wife, Janice Sue Hall Newcomb; one son, Chris Newcomb of Clay City; one daughter, Mona Hall of Shelbyville; one brother, Britt (Jaime) Newcomb of Middletown, OH; one sister, Janna Todd of Irvine; one granddaughter, Keleigh Nicole Newcomb; two step grandchildren, Tanner Ryan Chaney and Kinleigh Alexa Patrick; five brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law; 23 nieces and nephews along with special friend, Terri Patrick. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Johnny Hurt and Bro. Ernie Dudleson will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Hearne Funeral Home in Stanton. Visitation begins at 12:00 P.M. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in McCoy Cemetery with Jeff Hall, Danny Hall, Matthew Todd, David Newcomb, Tanner Chaney, Danny Everman and Terry Winkle serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are members of Calvary Baptist Church, Raymond Hall, Tommy Hall, Marion Hall and Jeff Everman. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
