Ray Cable, age 89, formerly of Campton, KY died November 14, 2016 at Clermont Mercy Hospital, Batavia, Ohio. Born in Vortex, KY he was the son of the late Seldon and Tillie Oliver Cable. He was a U S Army Veteran and he retired after 30 years with General Motors in Dayton, OH. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Yates Oliver Cable; one brother, Joseph Cable and three sisters, Ann Cable, Ruby and her husband Oliver Taulbee and Fern and her husband Albert Large. He is survived by two nieces, Judy (Jim) O'Cull of Sardinia, OH and Janet Cable of Nashville, TN; one nephew, Larry Cable of Winchester; two stepsons: Stanley (Lisa) Oliver of Somerset and David (Janet) Oliver of Russell; one stepdaughter, Joy (Michael) Yazell of Florence; five step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Chuck Shroll will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Thursday until time of funeral. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Campton, KY with Stanley Oliver, David Oliver, Jim O'Cull, Jimmy O'Cull, James O'Cull and Mike Yazell serving as pallbearers.
