James Price Smith, age 77, of Jim Smith Road, Campton, Kentucky passed away on November 9, 2016 at University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY. Born in Leeco, KY he was the son of the late Clarence and Ila Adams Smith and he was a former machinist at Rockwell International. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Schaefer Smith; one son, David (Beth) Smith of Winchester; one daughter, Diana (Keith) Newsome of Campton; two brothers: Paul Smith and his wife, Joann and Clarence Smith, Jr. and his wife, Phyllis of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters: Thelma Bryant of Rogers and Frances (Wendell) Brewer of Indianapolis, IN; three grandchildren: Sam Dunn, Cameron Dunn and James Brayden Smith and one great grandchild, Natalie Dunn. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Hearne Funeral Home, Inc., 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Smith Family Cemetery at Zachariah with Sam Dunn, Cameron Dunn, Benji Bryant, Bug Gabbard, Ron Easterling and Keith Newsome serving as pallbearers.
