Ralph Shepherd

Ralph Edward Shepherd, age 53, of Richmond, KY passed away at his residence on September 21, 2016. Born in Floyd County, KY he was the son of the late Ralph Wheeler Shepherd and the late Rose Medina Shepherd. He was a veteran of the Marine Corp, a factory team leader at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, Inc. in Georgetown and he was a member of Sharpsburg Worship Center. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul David Shepherd. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Flynn Shepherd and one son, Jonathan Claypoole of Richmond; two daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Shepherd of Huntsville and Crystal (Robert) Boyd of Stanton; one brother, John Wayne Shepherd of Georgetown; one sister, Mary Cummins of Danville and by two grandchildren, Gracie Eva Ann Shepherd and SrA Zachary Taylor Claypoole. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Robert Boyd will be held at Noon Monday, September 26, 2016 at Sharpsburg Worship Center, 468 Main Street, Sharpsburg, KY. Visitation from 6:00 P.M. til 9:00 P.M. Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Stonegate Cemetery, Stanton, KY with Jonathan Claypoole, SrA Zachary Taylor Claypoole, Jonathan Shepherd, Alan Hatfield and Tony Hatfield serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Nelly, Ronald Jackson, Algin Wasson, Jr. and Chris Hatfield. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
