Mary Frances Faulkner Townsend, age 82, widow of Jesse James Townsend passed away June 20, 2016 at Stanton Nursing Center. Born in Slade, KY she was the daughter of the late Dorce Faulkner and the late Alice Nolan Faulkner. Mary Townsend was a former factory employee and a member of Full Gospel Lighthouse Church, Clay City, KY. She is survived by one son, Ricky (Betty) Townsend of Clay City; two daughters, Betty Joyce Anderson of Clay City and Lois Faye (Wayne) Rose of Stanton; two brothers, Marvin Faulkner of Mt. Sterling and Scoby Faulkner of Stanton; 13 grandchildren: Stephanie Townsend, Cheryl Abshear, April Willoughby, Chris Rose, Derek Rose, Stacy Rose, Prisilla Rose, Ashley Trimble, Janice Reed, Charlene Vires, Mark Anderson, Johnny Anderson and James Anderson; 16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Robert Carpenter will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Faulkner Cemetery alongside her husband, Jesse James Townsend. Active pallbearers are Jared Jenkins, Derek Rose, Christopher Rose, William Vires, Danny Joe Townsend and Johnny Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Abshear, Aaron Briggs and Michael Townsend.
