Floyd J. Marcum, age 85, of Clay City, Kentucky passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at U. K. Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky. Born in Clay City, Kentucky he was the son of the late Jesse Marcum and Nettie Hall Marcum. He was a veteran of the U S Air Force and a retired machine adjuster with General Electric. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his son, Tommy Marcum; two brothers: Tracy Marcum and William Marcum and by two sisters: Marie McKinney and Leona Tipton. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Miniard Marcum; four daughters: Samantha Emma (James) Estes of Pittsboro, NC, Angela (Les) Dixon of Winchester, Stephanie (David) Nock of Winchester and Aneta Atwood of Columbia, SC; three brothers: Earl (Norma) Marcum of Stanton, Jesse Marcum and Bob (Jane) Marcum of Peru, IN; three grandchildren: Bradley Conley, James Tyler Estes and Courtney Ann Estes and one great grandchild. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 22, 2016 in Stanton Cemetery, Main Street, Stanton, KY. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
