Eugene Jones

Eugene Jones, age 62, of Jones Road, Clay City, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at his residence. Born in Fisty, Kentucky he was the son of Nancy Francis Jones and the late Granville Jones. He was self employed in construction and he attended Little Bethany Church. In addition to his father was also preceded in death by his brother, Billy Jones. He is survived by his wife, Valeria Hicks Jones; his mother, Nancy Francis Jones; three sons: Marcus (Erica) Jones, Joshua Jones and Braedon Jones; two daughters: Mellanie (Joseph) Cornett and Kylee Jones; one brother, C. D. Jones; four sisters: Christine (Darrell) Randall, Eva (David) Barnes, Ollie (Darrell) Hughes and Belvie (Doug) Dalton and by four grandchildren: Alexander Shuler, Jordan Shuler, Makayla Jones and Karson Jones. Funeral services officiated by Bro. James Slone will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jones Cemetery with Marcus Jones, Braedon Jones, Alex Shuler, Jordan Shuler, David Jones and Joshua Jones serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jonathon Helton, Anthony Wright, Tony Romans, Rondal Davis, Steven Donithan, Ricky Shuler, Darrell Hughes, Darrell Randall, Doug Dalton, Phillip Kenzie, Joseph Cornett and Brandon Hughes.
