Donald G. Briscoe, age 78, husband of Sandra Kay Farrell-Briscoe of Summerville, South Carolina passed away at his residence on March 1, 2016 following a long battle with cancer. He enlisted in the Navy in 1955 and retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1975. Immediately after discharge from the USN he went to work for Conrad Chevrolet in Lexington, KY. After a short time at Conrad Chevrolet he went to Quantrell Cadillac where he worked his way up to used car manager. Don and Sandi married in 1984 then moved to and lived in Summerville, South Carolina since 1998. He worked as a car salesman for Miller Cadillac in Mt. Pleasant and Summerville and Rick Hendricks in Charleston, SC. Born in Clay City, Kentucky he was the son of the late Dewey and Abbie Rogers Briscoe. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Denny and Elbridge Briscoe. He is survived by his wife, Sandi Farrell-Briscoe of Summerville, SC; one sister, Betty Sharon (Tom) Nagel of Fairborn, OH; two brothers: Lowell (Carlena) Briscoe and Shirley Briscoe both of Stanton along with several nieces and nephews residing in Powell County, KY and Ohio. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Max Molihan will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Hearne Funeral Home, Inc., 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY.  Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.  Interment with military honors will be in Donnie G. Randall Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Stanton, KY. Active pallbearers are C. B. Martin, Bud Parks, Dennis Hall, Eric Briscoe, Hybert Atkinson, Evan Molihan and Shirley Briscoe. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Rogers, Hunter Martin and Charles Begley.
