Lucy Anne Atkinson Crowe, 88, widow of Charles Eunice Crowe, passed peacefully at her home on Monday, February 15, 2016. Born in Stanton, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Marion and Nannie Bruce Rogers Atkinson. “Miss Lucy” as she was often called was a member of the Stanton Presbyterian Church and a lifetime member of the Pilot Knob Chapter 549, O.E.S with 50+ years of service. She received an Associates Degree from Eastern Kentucky University and became emergency certified to teach in several of the one room school houses that were in Powell County in the late 40s early 50's. She later worked for and retired from the Farmers Home Administration USDA , Stanton Office. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Buell Paul Atkinson and her grandson, Kevin Lee Maloney. Survivors include: Children: Angelyn (Bob) Maloney, Joanne Crowe, Bruce (Vanessa) Crowe and Mariam (Paul) Todd; Brothers: Marion (Sue) Atkinson and Hybert (Sylvia) Atkinson; sister in law, Christine "Dude" Wells; Grandchildren: Dana (Kermit) Belcher, Kellee Scott Maloney, Rachel Wilcy Crowe, Landers (Leslie) Crowe, and Aubrey Todd; Great Grandchildren: Haley Brooke Maloney, Kade and Brynn Belcher and Adrian Cruz Crowe. Visitation will be Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Hearne Funeral Home in Stanton, Kentucky. Interment will be in Stanton Cemetery with John D. Atkinson, Paul D. Atkinson, Jim Atkinson, Joel Atkinson, H. K. Cunningham, Stacy Stidham and Robbie Lay serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Winnie Marcum, Toby Drake, Shirley Holcomb, Christeen Brewer, Nancy Chaney, Wanda Cunningham, Susan Ashley, Liz Warren, Carl Tipton, Tommy Rogers, Buck Bush, Morgan Tipton, Lloyd Fantz and Hospice East.
