Evan Blakey

Evan Blakey, age 82, Maple Street, Stanton, KY passed away on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 at U K Medical Center, Lexington, KY. Born in Cundiff, KY he was the son of the late Arvil Lee and Hazel Mae Cape Blakey and he was a retired electrical lineman with Shely Construction.  Evan Blakey was a member of Stanton Masonic Lodge 352 and a member of the Eastern Star.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lee Bellamy Blakey; two brothers, Clifton Blakey and Hubert Blakey and by two sisters, Ilene Boone and Beulah Jane Vessels.  He is survived by one son, Timothy Blakey of Stanton, one daughter, Rhonda Blakey of Irvine, one brother, Holland (Sherri) Blakey of Jamestown and by one sister, Brenda Sue (Ray) Lawhorn of Glens Fork.  Funeral services officiated by Bro. Dwaine Meadows will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY.  Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with masonic rites conducted at 8:00 P.M.  Interment will be in Stonegate Cemetery with Joey Blakey, Dan Lawhorn, Darren Mullins, Eugene Kalar, Mark Rogers, Tim Wallingford, Tim Rogers and Eric Duval serving as active pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are Delbert and Bonnie Mullins, Danny and Barbara Rogers, Kelly and Arlene Bellamy, Heston Reeder, Rick Stamper, Shelby and Brenda Rogers, Steve and Juanita Harrison and friends at the Okonite Company.  Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.  www.hearnefuneralhome.com
