Shirley Rogers

Shirley Ann Rogers, age 76, wife of Gaylord Rogers, of Stanton passed away on November 18, 2015 at the Stanton Nursing Center. Born in Powell County she was the daughter of the late Nelson Calvin Rogers and the late Lillie Spencer Rogers. Shirley was a homemaker and member of Stanton First Church of God. She is survived by her husband, Gaylord Rogers; daughter, Janet Lynn Carroll of Stanton; two stepsons: Richard (Sharon) Rogers of Hargett and David Rogers of Stanton; one sister, Linda (John) Farmer of Winchester; six grandchildren: Jessica (Derrick) Taylor and Josh (Kayla) Carroll, Kyle Rogers, Casey (Rachel) Rogers, Darla (B. J.) Thompson and Chris Carroll and eight great grandchildren: Alyssa Taylor, Khloe Carroll, Hadlee Taylor, Skylar Rogers, C. J. Rogers, Alison DeFilippo, Ty DeFilippo and Braydon Thompson. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by five brothers: Leonard Rogers, Nelson Rogers Jr., Raymond Rogers, James Buel Rogers and Kenneth Rogers; two sisters, Wilma Hatton and Maxine Rogers and one great grandchild, Landen Chase Taylor. Funeral services officiated by Rev. Anthony Molihan will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery with Josh Carroll, Kyle Rogers, Casey Rogers, Rick Rogers, Derrick Taylor and Charles Rogers serving as active pallbearers.
