Ruth Evelyn Rogers, age 85, of 105 Yorktown Court, Winchester, KY passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Fountain Circle Health and Rehab. Center. Born in Lexington, KY she was the daughter of the late Dorsey Cooper Kirkpatrick and the late Effie Lee Walker Kirkpatrick and she was the widow of Elmer Rogers. She was a former laundry employee of F. W. Means. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons: Ronald Lee Rogers and Delmar Lynn Rogers; one sister, Shirley Kirkpatrick and by one grandson, Neal Rogers. She is survived by two sons: Carl Rogers and his wife Gail and William C. Rogers and his wife Angela of Winchester; three brothers: Kenneth Kirkpatrick and his wife Linda of Stanton, Dwayne Kirkpatrick and his wife Barbara of Crab Orchard and Melvin Kirkpatrick and his wife Phyllis of Lexington; one sister, Helen Rogers of Dayton, OH; four grandchildren: Aaron Rogers, Melissa Rehm, Scott Rogers and Richard Rogers and by three great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. and funeral services officiated by Bro. Stephen Donithan will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 5, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Stanton Cemetery with Jerry Hall, Bobby Martin, Landon Kirkpatrick, Kevin Crain and Robert Rogers serving as pallbearers.
