Sylvia Maxine Finney, age 88, of James Crowe Hollow Road, Stanton, KY passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at her residence. Born in Bowen, KY she was the daughter of the late Avery D. Crabtree and the late Ethel Oaks Crabtree. She was a member of the Eastern Star and she was a former cook at Food Town. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Raymond Finney; two brothers: Earl Glenwood Crabtree and Malcolm Crabtree; one sister, Joyce Crabtree and by two grandchildren, Angie Milton and Sean Ray Gentry. She is survived by two daughters: Joyce Feltner and Jo Ann (Alan) Jarbeau both of Stanton; one brother, James T. (Katherine) Crabtree of Stanton; three sisters: Ann Wilson of Germantown, OH; Jeannetta (Billy Joe) Martin and LaDonna Crabtree of Stanton; four grandchildren: Mark Christopher Stevens, II, Regina Joyce Hoyt, Chasity Lynn Means and Sabrina Joy Dawson along with 20 great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday and funeral services officiated by Rev. Anthony Molihan will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Crabtree Cemetery with Mark Christopher Stevens, II, Sean Banks, Brian Haddix, Zachary Dawson, Dalton Dawson and Jadon Means serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Crabtree, Tim Dawson, Shirley Skidmore, Estill King, Shirley Reed, J. C. Wilson, Jim Dennis, Glen Crabtree and Charlie Crabtree.
