Marie Spencer Centers, age 89, widow of Paul Centers, of Stanton, KY passed away at her residence on August 19, 2015. Born in Wolfe County, KY she was the daughter of the late Lona Spencer and the late Pearl Landrum Spencer. Marie Centers was a former cook at Natural Bridge State Park. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Hank Paul Centers. She is survived by her son, Rondle Gene Centers and his wife Nancy of Jeffersonville; one daughter, Noomie Sue Harper and her husband Roy Edward of Clay City; daughter-in-law, Regina Centers of Clay City; two sisters: Elma Tingle of Frankfort and Betty Lou Creech of Germantown, OH; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral services officiated by Rev. Anthony Molihan and Rev. Marion Brewer will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery with Billy Centers, Jimmy Ray Creech, Gary Tingle, Casey Creech, Aaron Harper, Nathan Johnson and Rocky Johnson serving as pallbearers.
