Danny Wayne Duffy, age 68 passed away at his residence in Lexington on Monday, August 10, 2015. Born in Mount Sterling, KY he was the son of the late Joe Duffy and Louise Brown Duffy Williams. Danny graduated from Powell County High School class of 1965. He was a decorated Army Vietnam War veteran who flew the cobra helicopter and retired as a Major. Dan was a full service stock broker in New York with J. H. Darby and Company and a local property developer. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ollie and Rosa Ellen Brown; aunt, Jean Brown Kelly; uncle, Sam Brown and cousin, Gary Brown. He is survived by his half brother, Kenneth Williams of FL; half sister, Donna Gail Bordelon of LA; aunt, Mary Margaret Brown of Lexington; uncle, Cordis Brown of Stanton and seven cousins: Leighanna Brown, Vicky Brown, Karen Stapleton, John (Karen) Kelly, Sam (Shirley) Brown, Larry Gene (Debbie) Brown and Delbert (Suzy) Brown. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Friday and funeral services officiated by Rev. Mary Margaret Brown, Wayne Fortney and Sam Brown will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment with military honors will be in Stanton Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Chris Abner, Larry Gene Brown, John Kelly, Samuel Mason Brown, C. B. Martin and Johnny Stewart.
