Melody Yvonne Farmer, age 61, wife of Paul Farmer, of Little Hardwicks Creek Road, Clay City passed away June 16, 2015 at U K Medical Center. Born in Winchester, KY she was the daughter of the late Dee and Elizabeth Creech Angel. She was a former teacher's aid with the Powell County Board of Education and a former girls softball coach. She is survived by her husband, Paul Farmer; one son, Jeremy Dee (Miranda) Farmer of West Liberty; two daughters: Carrasa (Darrell Esteppe) Farmer of Jeffersonville and Victoria (David) Marcum of Clay City; one sister, Darlene (Gordon) Bellamy of Stanton; ten grandchildren: Conner Farmer, Morgan Farmer, Dylan Radschweit, Austin Radschweit, Haleigh Bauer, Tori Esteppe, Cole Esteppe, Kayla Esteppe, Bella Esteppe and Kyndall Marcum along with her special friend, Karen Morton. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. Thursday and funeral services officiated by Rev. Teddy Linkous and Rev. Jonathon Lewis will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 19, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Stanton Cemetery with Austin Radschweit, Dylan Radschweit, Eric Bellamy, Richard Bellamy, Jeremy Farmer and David Marcum serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Karen Morton, Joe and Brenda Angel, Darlene and Darrell Slemp, Gordon Bellamy, Justin Shepherd and the staff of Stanton Elementary School.
