Irene Smith Durham, age 96, passed away on June 15, 2015 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, KY. Born in Campton, KY she was the daughter of the late William Combs Smith and the late Maude Asbury Smith. She was a retired clerk with the United States Government. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Durham and by her brother, Bill Oliver Smith. She is survived by one son, Franklin Allen Durham and his wife Brenda of Beaver Dam; one sister, Sally Denniston of Campton; one sister-in-law, Rowena Smith of Middletown, OH; two grandchildren: Tammy Cox of Greenville and Susan Gaddis of Beaver Dam; three great grandchildren: Ella Gaddis, Sophie Gaddis and Gabbie Gaddis; four nephews: Scott Denniston and Mick Denniston of Campton, Marty Denniston of Stanton and Wendell Denniston of Lexington and five nieces: Lois Abner of Winchester, Kay Schweitzer of Goshen, Gail Bowman of Springboro, OH, Suzy Brown of Stanton and Kim Jaeger of Malakoff, TX. Private graveside services will be held in Evans Cemetery, Campton, KY on Wednesday. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
