Mildred Estes, age 85, of Stanton, KY, widow of Harley William "Bill" Estes passed away on May 21, 2015 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, KY with her family at her side. She worked in the restaurant business most of her life. Mildred loved greeting people and has made lots of friends over the years. Mildred was the most caring, thoughtful, loving person that anyone could ever know. She also served the Powell County Lions Club for several years and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Born in Clay City, KY she was the daughter of the late Jessie Mountz McKinney and the late Eunice Wells McKinney and she was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Estes; her son, Johnny Estes; son-in-law, Darrell Smith; two sisters and two brothers . She is survived by one son, Billy Ray Estes and his wife, Charlotte of Stanton; two daughters: Rita Martin and her husband, Mike of Jeffersonville and Clara (Darrell) Smith of Stanton; six grandchildren: Jason ( Carolyn) Estes of Stanton, Mike Estes of Stanton, John Estes of Indianapolis, IN, Mark Smith of Mt. Sterling, Candi (Brad) Mullins of Jeffersonville and Josh Martin of Mt. Sterling; nine great grandchildren: Alex Estes, Tiffany Tipton, Brittany Richardson, Cody Bowen, Makaela Estes, Michael Estes, Brayden Mullins, Abeni Mullins and Nathan Mullins; one brother, David (Sherri) McKinney of Stanton and seven sisters: Eldoria "Dody" Johnson of Stanton, Laverne Tharpe of Stanton, Thelma (Cash) Bishop of Jeffersonville, Wilma (Eli) Bishop of Stanton, Kathlene (Jearl) Rogers of Stanton, Janet Flippo of Clay City and Berniece Wills of Winchester. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Jessie Rogers and Bro. Anthony Molihan with eulogy by John Estep will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 25, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Visitation is from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Estes Cemetery with Jason Estes, Michael Estes, John Estes, Mark Smith, Joshua Martin and Brandon Taulbee serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are John Estep, John Estep II, McKinley Miller, Glenville Powell, Johnny Kennon, Richard Bishop, Larry Bishop, Gerald Bishop, Michael Coy Helton, Mike Helton and employees of Bruen's Restaurant.
