Thelma Jean Adams, age 88, widow of Roy Adams, of South Fork Road, Stanton, KY passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Saint Joseph Health Care, Mt. Sterling, KY. Born in Stanton, KY she was a daughter of the late George and Mila Baker Crowe. Mrs. Adams was a retired teacher with the Powell County Board of Education and a member of Bowen First Church of God. In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by her brother, Vinson Crowe and by her sister, Susan Crowe. She is survived by her son, David and his wife Cheryl Adams of Winchester; three grandchildren: Alan Adams, Kimberly Leger and Russell Adams and by two great grandchildren: Olivia Adams and Myla Leger. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday and funeral services officiated by Bro. Steven Williams and Bro. Garland Lacy will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 8, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Donnie G. Randall Memorial Veterans Cemetery with Alan Adams, Russell Adams, Edward Crowe, Dennis Baker, Charles Faulkner and Tony McCoy serving as pallbearers. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
