Janice Conley Smith, age 77, widow of Edwin Smith, passed away at Stanton Nursing Center on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Born in Prestonsburg, KY she was a daughter of the late Sam Conley and the late Pearl Mae Pelfrey Conley. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting. In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Della Wylene Smith. She is survived by two sons: John (Tina) Smith and Guy Smith both of Beattyville, KY; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and many other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Booneville Funeral Home in Booneville, KY. Visitation begins at 11:00 A.M. and funeral services officiated by Pastor Garett Thomas will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will follow in the Stanton Cemetery with Phillip Cole, Lucas Sandein, Bobby Pelfrey, Bill Pelfrey, Daniel Pelfrey, Brandon Pelfrey, Michael Paul King and Jordan Woods serving as active pallbearers.
