Garry Burton Conlee, age 68, of Knoxville died on March 26, 2015 following an illness. Garry was born in Lexington and lived in Knoxville during his youth and graduated from Knoxville Catholic High School. Garry served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He also graduated from East Tennessee State University and retired after 25 plus years with the State of Kentucky, Revenue Department. Garry attended both St. John Newman Catholic and Immaculate Conception Catholic Churches. Garry is survived by his parents, Ralph Burton and Mary Ellen DeCenzo Conlee, formerly of Stanton; sister, Barbara Wilhoit and husband Mac; three nephews: Rick Wilhoit, Mike Wilhoit and wife Loren, and Tim Wilhoit; niece Elisa Wilhoit; great niece, Harper Wilhoit and great nephew, Cooper Wilhoit. A funeral Mass was held on March 30, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Knoxville with Father Jerry Tully CSP and Deacon Joe Stackhouse officiating. On Wednesday, April 15, 2015 the family will receive family and friends from 11:00 A.M until 12:00 noon at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue in Stanton. Graveside services officiated by Father Al Fritsch, S.J. of Our Lady Of The Mountain Catholic Church will follow in the Stanton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Garry's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, 223 Rosa L.
