Billy Douglas Powell, age 55, of Rowland Lane, Clay City, KY passed away at U K Medical Center on Thursday, March 26, 2015. Born in Powell County he was the son of the late Owen D. and Wanda Jones Powell. Billy Powell was a rural mail carrier for the U S Postal Service. He is survived by his wife, Larcena Parks Powell; two sons, Dakota Powell of Clay City and Keith Manning and his wife Nicolle of Morehead and by his sister, Delinda Powell of Clay City. Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Sunday and funeral services officiated by Bro. Henry Johnson will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 30, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue in Stanton. Interment will be in Powell's Valley Cemetery with Virgil Ashley, Pat Overbee, Nick Elkins, Dennis Powell, Colton Elkins, Jeff Jones, Donnie Duff and Anthony Duff serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Jones, Keith Manning, Tim Ritchie, Gary C. Jones, Dakota Powell, Talmadge Smallwood and the employees of Stanton Post Office. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc
