Donnie Reese Kennon, age 69, husband of Brenda Todd Kennon, of Adams Ridge Road, Clay City, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at his residence. Born in Clay City he was the son of Bertie Mae Walton Kennon and the late Elmer Reese Kennon. Donnie was a retired manager at IBM and an employee of Everman's Gulf. In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Kennon. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Kennon and his mother, Bertie Kennon both of Clay City; one daughter, Susan (Donn) Jako of Irvine; two brothers, Travis (Barbara) Kennon of Winchester and Arty (Dina) Kennon of Clay City; four sisters, Inza (Arlon) James of Winchester, Linda (Mark) Colson of Statesville, NC, Janice Pelfrey of Stanton and Darlene (Robbie) Keeton of Clay City; sister-in-law, Sharon Kennon; two grandchildren, Shianne (Justin) Horn of Clay City and Lucas Jako of Irvine and one great grandchild, Kylie Rae Horn. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Saturday and funeral services officiated by Bro. Willard Estep and Bro. Steven Williams will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue in Stanton. Interment will be in Powell's Valley Cemetery with Everett "June Bug" Todd, Jr., Billy Todd, Steve Todd, Donn Jako, Lucas Jako, Justin Horn, Travis Kennon, Arlon James and Robbie Keeton serving as active pallbearers.
