Doris Lynn Lane, age 72, wife of Luther J. Lane, of Hatton Creek School Road, Stanton, KY passed away at their residence on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Born in Powell County, KY she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emma Kincaid Burton. She was a former bank teller with Peoples Exchange Bank and she was a member of Stanton Christian Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy Reed; five brothers: Charles Burton, Taylor Burton, Leon Burton, Allen Burton and Bill Burton and by two sisters, Barbara Burton and Janet Riggs. She is survived by her husband, Luther J. Lane; one son, Mark Reed and his wife Maria of Stanton; one brother, Addison Burton and his wife Evelyn of Russellville; two sisters, Diana Phelps and her husband Dewey of Stanton and Kay Scott of Clay City and by two grandsons, Matthew (Destine) Reed and son, Kaden and Morgan Reed. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday and funeral services officiated by Bro. Chris Moon will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Ave., Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Stanton Cemetery with Matthew Reed, Morgan Reed, Joe Scott, Dwain Anderson, Kenneth Kirkpatrick, Stevie Collins, Gary Crabtree and Jeff Lane serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Troy Brooks, PA, Barbara Crabtree, Nellie Anderson, Donna Gabbard, Delta Campbell, Sue Wells, Lezley Dotson, Pat Pritchard, Kayla Ledford, Chelsea Nolan and Patty Gordon.
