Daniel Eugene Potts, age 57, of Little Hardwicks Creek Road, Clay City, KY passed away at his residence on March 8, 2015. Born in Dayton, OH he was the son of Austin Raymond Potts and Norma Jean Wovries Potts. Dan worked for Bellerud Transport, Inc. for several years, then as owner/operator of his trucking transport business traveling across country from California to New York. He is survived by two sons, Austin William (Jenny) Potts of Bartow, FL and Casey Ryan (Shauna) Potts of Jacksonville, FL; one daughter, Heather Nicole Potts of Floral City, FL; his parents, Austin Raymond and Norma Jean Potts of Clay City; one brother, Ronald Lee Potts of San Francisco, CA and two grandchildren, Chloe Alana Scott and Jack Elliot Potts. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Gary Willoughby will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Visitation is 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Powell's Valley Cemetery, Clay City, KY with Austin W. Potts, Casey R. Potts, Aaron Kennon, Ed Marcum, Darrell Slemp and Russell Potts serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Ronald Potts, Wayne Patrick and Kevin Patrick.
