Rosie Lee Trent, age 81, widow of Herbert Trent of Black Creek Road, Clay City, KY passed away at her residence on Friday, March 6, 2015. Born in Breathitt County, KY she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mary Dunn Poe. She was a member of Clay City Church of Christ and a retired factory employee with Hart, Schaffner and Marx. In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Lou Townsend; three bothers, Hargis Poe, Troy Poe and Charles Poe and by five sisters, Ressie Harris, Ogelene Collins, Sally Mae Poe, Ethyl Poe and Lois Ann Poe. She is survived by her son, Herbert Scott (Roxanna) Trent of Jeffersonville; one daughter, Patty Gail Trent (Tim Shackelford) of Clay City; one brother, Roy Menifee (Rhoda) Poe of Valdese, NC; three sisters, Orelene Fox of Myrtle Beach, SC, Joyce Rison of Winchester and Pauline Powell of Clay City; six grandchildren: Lisa Gail Potts, Michael Henry Vanover, Christopher Scott (Becky) Vanover, Scotty Shane Trent, Rebecca (Kevin) Shackelford and Shanna Trent; 11 great grandchildren: Derrick Tyler Potts, Darren Douglas Potts, Austin Bowles, Taner Bowles, Brandon (Brittany) Trent, Brooklynn Thomas, Madison Trent, Chase Trent, Collin Trent, Rylee Trent and Austin Shackelford along with many special nieces and nephews. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. Sunday and funeral services officiated by Bro. M. C. Rice, Bro. Larry Shoemaker and Bro. Anthony Molihan will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 9, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Powell's Valley Cemetery with Scotty Shane Trent, Brandon Scott Trent, Austin Bowles, Derrick Tyler Potts, Tim Shackelford and Chris Vanover serving as active pallbearers.
