Junior Carl McIntosh, age 85, of Virden Ridge Road, Clay City, KY passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at his residence. Born in Jeffersonville, KY he was the son of the late Mart and Chessie Shoemaker McIntosh. He was a U S Army Korean War Veteran and a former auto body specialist with Schoolar Body Shop. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Annette Blackwell McIntosh and by four sisters: Pauline McIntosh, Anna Mae McIntosh, Viola Powell and Faye McIntosh. He is survived by four daughters: Katherine Abney of Clay City, Danita Geraty of Starke, FL, Melissa Ann "Lisa" Charles of Stanton and Jennifer Lawson McIntosh of Clay City; four brothers: James (Margaret) McIntosh of Clay City, Harold Lee (Lucy) McIntosh of Clay City, Troy McIntosh of Winchester and Raymond (Darnell) McIntosh of Clay City; three sisters: Irene Rose of Winchester, Margie Shortridge of Winchester and Gladys Simerly of Bristol, TN; seven grandchildren: Amanda (Stan) Trent, Becky Bortzfield, Dougie (Nicole) Angel, Misty (R. L.) Doss, Joshua Charles, Billie Jo Abney and Lovey Trent; 19 great grandchildren and his companion, Nancy Reed of Clay City. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Friday and funeral services officiated by Rev. Sammy Faulkner will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue in Stanton. Interment with military honors will be in West Bend Cemetery with Jason McIntosh, Jeff McIntosh, Charlie Reed, Nick Reed, Stan Trent and Ricky Schoolar serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Liz Cole, Bonnie Smith, Nannie Jones, Elaina Kinser, Bobbie Crowe, Violet Spangler, Lillie Cole, Clarene Donahue, Paula Watson and Richard Schoolar.
