James Emerson "Jimmy" Allen, age 80, of Cat Creek Road, Stanton, KY passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at his residence with his family by his side. Born in Stanton, KY, he was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Lacy Allen. Jimmy was retired from Rockwell of North Carolina and he was a farmer. He was an avid horseback rider and a member of the Powell County Cattlemen's Association. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean Crowe Allen; one daughter, Bonnie Jean Kinser and by two sisters, Twyla Mathews and Wanda Faulkner. He is survived by three daughters, Sharon Kay Allen of Lexington, KY, Rhonda (Terry) Caudill of Stanton, KY and Susan Howes of Winchester, KY; two sisters, Shirley (Max) Molihan and Faye Powell both of Stanton, KY; four grandchildren, Jason Allen, Ashley (James) Cornelison, Shawn Caudill and Sarah Caudill and by one great grandchild, Aubrey Cornelison. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday and funeral services officiated by Bro. Max Molihan and Bro. Johnny Hurt will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Cat Creek Cemetery with Jason Allen, Shawn Caudill, Albert Faulkner, Jr., Danny Allen, Larry Powell, Justin James, James Cornelison and Todd Barrett serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Henry Ashley Jr., Don Butler, James Ballou, Claude Bowen, Walter Anderson, Ed Moore, Johnny Hurt, Clyde Barrett, H. T. Derickson and Greg Stocking.
