Gale W. Gregory, age 89, husband of Ruth Clemons Gregory, Pearl Street, Stanton, KY passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the V. A. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was the son of the late Hobart and Frona Kogar Gregory and a World War II Army Veteran. Gale Gregory was a retired dental technician, a proud member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and an avid golfer. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother, Drexell Gregory and three sisters, Ella Mae Kennedy, Dorothy Harrison and Dolly Sweigart and one grandson, David Schern. Gale Gregory is survived by his wife, Ruth Gregory; one daughter, Kathy Schern and her husband Mike; one brother, Steve Gregory; one sister, Shirley Davis; four grandchildren: Jason Schern and his wife Hye-In, Gregory Schern and his wife Melanie, Susan Thiriot and her husband Bryce and Kassiah Myers and her husband Daniel and by 13 great grandchildren: Kevin Schern, Emily Schern, Lillian Schern, Jaisa Schern, Camden Schern, Rilynn Schern, Abagail Thiriot, Gabriella Thiriot, Sebastian Myers, David Myers, Annabelle Myers, Marcus Myers and Charlotte Myers. Visitation begins at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 755 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Funeral services officiated by Rev. Marion Brewer and Fred Tuttle will be conducted at 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Interment with military honors will be in Powell's Valley Cemetery, Clay City, KY. Pallbearers are Jason Schern, Delbert Clemons, Jesse Alexander, Mike Crowe, Rob Wilson, Earnie Smallwood and Gary Brock. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
