Charlotte Marilyn "Peggy" Spencer, age 84, wife of Billy Spencer, of Honor Drive, Stanton, KY passed away at her residence on Friday, February 6, 2015. Born in Dayton, KY she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mattie Williams Garrison. Peggy Spencer was a retired librarian at Powell County High School and a member of the Powell County Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member of Powell County Farmers Market and the Powell County Democrat Executive Committee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Edwanna G. Chenault. She is survived by her husband, Billy Spencer; one son, Greg and his wife Beverly Spencer of Stanton, KY and by three grandchildren, Ashley Spencer, Matthew Spencer and Christopher Spencer. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Monday, February 9, 2015 and funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Stanton Cemetery with Matthew Spencer, Christopher Spencer, David Bowen, H. K. Cunningham, Kent Watkins and Paul (Pooge) White serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Charles Noss, Gary Chenault, Eva Mae White, Betty Craft, Nellie Anderson, Shirley Bowen, Roslyn Lacy, Tony Ball, Toby Drake, Richard Fain, Diane Davis, Chuck Cornett, Mike Reed, Peggy Lou Chenault, Sharon Ramsey, Philip and Randy Spencer and Hope Carlton.
