John C. Lane, age 60, of Leeco, Kentucky passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 on Highway 11, Slade, Kentucky. Born in Campton, KY, he was the son of the late Johnny L. Lane and the late Celia Brandenburg Lane. He was a maintenance supervisor with Infiltrator Systems, Inc., Winchester, KY. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Willard Lane and by his sister, Jodie Lane. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Esteppe Lane; one stepson, Billy Joe Watkins of Stanton, KY; one stepdaughter, Tonya (Randolph "Petie") Goodwin of Clay City, KY; two brothers: Gerald (Janette) Lane of Stanton, KY and Danny Lane of Leeco, KY; nine sisters: Sharon (Billy) Centers of Stanton, KY, Wilma Maloney of Zachariah, KY, Betty (Jewel) Caudill of Middletown, OH, Billie (Dick) Davidson of Batesville, IN, Shelia Centers of Stanton, KY, Connie (Lynn) Dunaway of Leeco, KY, Elizabeth (Doug) Foster of Stanton, KY, Charlotte Clayton of Sparta, KY and Sue (Randy) Majors of Frankfort, KY and by three step grandchildren: Thomas Goodwin, LaShana Goodwin and Heather Watkins. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Thursday and funeral services officiated by Bro. James Harold Combs will be held at Noon on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Mountain Springs Cemetery, Ravenna, KY with Randolph "Petie" Goodwin, Thomas Goodwin, Ryan Centers, Jeremy Foster, Eddie Caudill, Doug Davidson, Phillip Lane and Phillip Lane, Jr. serving as active pallbearers.
