Carol Ann Howell, age 75, of Washington Street, Stanton, Kentucky passed away at Hospice Care Center, St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky on Monday, September 15, 2014. Born in Queens, New York she was the daughter of the late William F. Haire and Edith Foster Haire. Carol Howell was a former teacher at Powell County Middle School and she was a member of Our Lady Of The Mountain Catholic Church. She is survived by her brother, William and his wife Nell Haire of Hopewell Junction, New York. A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Our Lady Of The Mountain Catholic Church, 1093 East College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky.
