Elmer Wayne Ritchie, age 68, husband of Sally Pemberton Ritchie of Steam Shovel Road, Stanton, KY passed away at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, KY on Friday, August 15, 2014. Born in Lexington, Kentucky he was the son of the late C. E. and Ruth Mildred Grimes Ritchie. He was a U S Navy Veteran and a lifetime member of AMVETS and he attended Shiloh United Methodist Church. Wayne was a former associate of Clyde John Electrical and a lineman with Kentucky Utilities. He operated his own company, R and R Electric, along with his wife and son. Surviving relatives are is wife, Sally Ritchie; one son, Jason (Stephanie) Ritchie of Stanton, Kentucky; one daughter, Shelley N. (Mark D.) Marshall of Nicholasville, Kentucky and two grandchildren, Nathan Marshall and Emma Marshall. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 and funeral services officiated by Rev. Brandon Candee and Benny Preston will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Interment with military honors will be in Stonegate Cemetery, 27 Stonegate Drive, Stanton, Kentucky. Active pallbearers are Louie Allison, Jerry Musselman, Dewey Hollon, Ricky Wasson, Rick Bartley, Randy Maloney, Glen McCubbins and Karl Blackwell. Honorary pallbearers are J. D.
