Clinton Wade Thorpe, age 48, of Courtney Lane, Stanton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at U K Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of William M. and Linda Roberts Thorpe of Stanton, Kentucky. Clinton was a graduate of Powell County High School and was a former truck driver for Danny Means Trucking Company. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his wife, Michelle Abney Thorpe; two daughters: Courtney Thorpe and Jacey Thorpe, both of Stanton, Kentucky; two sisters: Charla Thorpe of Stanton, Kentucky and Sharon Taylor of Florida; five nieces: Leah Taylor, Alyssa Hendershot, Jazmen Thorpe. Sarah Thorpe and Jerica Abney along with one great nephew, Kaleb Thorpe. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday and funeral services officiated by Bro. Johnny Hurt will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Interment will be in the Roberts Cemetery, Courtney Lane, Stanton, Kentucky with Harry Chaney, David Thorpe, James Garrett, Kevin Lacy, Shane Bowen and Scott Hatton serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Epperson, Gary Lee Asch, Gary Asch, Steve Brewer, Jeff Perry, Gary Asch III, Alex Holbrook, Mark Snowden and David Kissick. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
