John Thomas Gabbard, age 71, of Stanton, Kentucky passed away on July 25, 2014 at University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky. Born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky he was the son of the late Herman and Lillian Maxwell Gabbard. He was a former factory employee of Square D and he had attended Stanton First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his sister, Elaine Gabbard Riggs of Paris, Kentucky and by his niece, Mary Gabbard Watson of Stanton, Kentucky. Visitation begins at 10:00 A.M. followed by his funeral service officiated by Esther Rule Kearnes at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Interment will be in the Clay City-Eaton Cemetery with Officers of Stanton First Presbyterian Church serving as pallbearers. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
