Eva Dell Hollon, age 92, widow of Stanley Hollon, Main Street, Clay City, Kentucky passed away at her residence on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Born in Wolfe County, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Tom and Victoria Hager O'Hair. She was a retired postmaster of the Clay City Post Office and a member of Three Cross Baptist Church. Eva Dell was a member of Red River Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and she was a lifelong Republican. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by five brothers: Jess O'Hair, Jack O'Hair, Walter O'Hair, Taylor O'Hair and Everett O'Hair and by four sisters: Mary Congleton, Pearl Sparks, Ethel Brewer and Alice O'Hair. She is survived by her son, Hager Lee (Linda) Hollon of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; her daughter, Carol Sue Hollon of Clay City, Kentucky; two grandchildren: Allison (David) Gossett and Laura (Arthur Randall) Lacy and by three great grandchildren: Allison Grace Gossett, Taylor Randall Lacy and Hager Alec Lacy. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Garland Lacy are scheduled for Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in O'Hair Cemetery, Trent, Kentucky with Dwight O'Hair, Ronnie O'Hair, Randy Lacy, Jeff O'Hair, Jay O'Hair, Larry Meadows and Jeff Brewer serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jackie Rose and Darrell O'Hair. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
