Sharon Marlene Townsend, age 61, of Richmond, Kentucky passed away at her residence on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Born in Clark County, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Charles Emory Townsend and the late Evelyn Shimfessel Townsend. She was a former employee of Powell County Bank and Kentucky Bank. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Larry Verlon Townsend. She is survived by one son, Darren Jack Aldridge; one brother, Phillip Wayne Townsend of Lancaster, Kentucky; one sister, Wanda (William) Banks of Clay City, Kentucky and by her niece, Jessica Garrett of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. followed by her funeral service officiated by Rev. Kim Rose at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
