Cleta Thorpe Faw, age 83, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Stanton Nursing Center. Born in Stanton, KY she was the daughter of the late Chester Thorpe Sr. and the late Abbie Tomlin Thorpe. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Tharp, Chester Thorpe Jr., Harry Thorpe and James Thorpe and by four sisters, Gladys Tharp, Loretta Jones, Anita Foster and Oma Jean Tharp. She is survived by five sons: Stephen Faw and his wife Lucy and Clifford Faw and his wife Melissa of Stanton, KY, H. B. Faw and his wife Joyce of VA, Gerald Wayne Raider of TX and Michael Norris Raider of Stanton, KY; one daughter, Teeka Raider of Clay City, KY; three brothers: Ray Tharp and his wife Reeda of Lexington, KY, Andrew Thomas Thorpe and his wife Evelyn of Plant City, FL and Ronnie Tharp and his wife Barbara of Clay City, KY; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Sunday and funeral services officiated by Rev. Anthony Molihan will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 30, 2014 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Stanton Cemetery with Stephen E. Faw, Marcum D. Faw, Trevor Faw, J. D. Dunaway, Tim Rose and Todd Rogers serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Darrell Rose, Danny Arvin and Mike Arvin. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
