Gary Phillip Shuler, age 62, widower of Sandra Sue Shuler, West Railroad Avenue, Clay City, KY. passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, KY. He was a former employee of Leggett and Platt and he was a member of Clay City First Church of God. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his mother, Dovey Shuler Branham and six brothers and sisters. He is survived by two daughters: Dovie and her husband Steve Knox of Clay City, KY and April and her husband Rich Centers of Berea, KY; three grandchildren: Zachary Knox, Kaleb Knox and Eric Centers; special nephew but son at heart, Charlie Lee Townsend; one brother, James Shuler of Clay City, KY; half brother, Morris Branham, Jr. of Stanton, KY; one sister, Flossie Shuler of Clay City, KY; special cousin but sister at heart, Bobbie Davis and by four half sisters: Mertie Taylor of El Paso, TX, Becky Colon of Clarksville, TN, Dona Callahan of Jeffersonville, KY and Mary Branham of Lexington, KY. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday and funeral officiated by Rev. Max Molihan and Rev. Willard Estep will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 27, 2014 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Stonegate Cemetery, Stanton, KY with Charles Boyd, Phillip Shearer, Charlie Lee Townsend, Bobbie Davis, Virgil Catron and Geno Alway serving as active pallbearers.
