Virgil Lee Patrick, age 68, of Hatton Creek School Road, Stanton, KY passed away at U K Medical Center, Lexington, KY on Monday, June 2, 2014. Born in Broward County, Florida he was the son of the late Floyd and Lola Hardy Patrick. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with Central Rock Construction Company, a member of Local Heavy Equipment Operators Union 181 and he was a Powell County Honorary Deputy Sheriff. Virgil is survived by three brothers: Eugene and his wife Jenny Patrick and Billy Floyd Patrick of Clay City, KY and Roy Glen and his wife Patty Patrick of Stanton, KY; one sister, Carolyn Sue and her husband Johnny Horn of Clay City, KY; special son, Steve (Stephanie) Potts, Jr. of Mt. Sterling, KY and by four special grandchildren: Katelyn Potts, Natalie Potts, Steven Grant Potts and Madison Potts. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 and funeral services officiated by Rev. Teddy Linkous and Danny Martin will be held at Noon on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Stonegate Cemetery with Dickie Littrell, Danny Martin, Paul Pelfrey, Danny Rogers, Roy Gibson, Bezel Hall, Randolph Goodwin and Roland Howard serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Sherry Skidmore, Charlie and Littie Goodwin, Vernon Goodwin, Garland Hall, Boyd Hall, Charlie Goodwin, Jr. and Harry Burchfield. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
