K. C. Jones, Jr., age 33, husband of Abby Elandt Jones of Louisville, KY died on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville, KY. Born in Hazard, KY he was the son of Kenneth Colman Jones, Sr. and Maude Smith Jones and he was a member and small group leader of Crossroads Christian Church in Lexington, KY. K. C. was a coaching member of the KHSAA and he was a former member of the football coaching staff of Paris High School, Lexington Catholic High School, Dunbar High School, Powell County High School and the University of Kentucky Football Team. He was employed as a sales associate with A T & T. He is survived by his wife, Abby and by their son, Christian Jones of Louisville, KY; his parents, Ken and Maude Jones of Stanton, KY; four sisters: Missy Jones of Stanton, KY, Leah Stone and Melissa Callahan of Hazard, KY and Michelle Reedy Gross of Jeff, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. Saturday and funeral services officiated by Rev. Jeff Rogers, Bill Asman and Emily Elandt will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Jeff, KY with J. R. Feltner, Bill Asman, Andy Asman, Mike Ludwig, Phillip Broaddus, William Strange, Brad Thomas, Daniel Gross and John Sutton serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Shawn Combs, Kyle St. John, Tim Gross, Hondo Hearne, Josh Hall, Howard Elandt, Powell County Lady Pirates Basketball team and coaching staff.
