Edwina Gay Rice, age 77, of Winchester Road, Clay City, KY passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, KY. Born in Bowlington, KY she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Milda Rice Gay. She was a homemaker and she was a member of Powell's Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Rice, Sr. and by two sisters, Wavie Lawson and Sally Ann Collins. She is survived by three sons: Elmer Rice, Jr., Stanley Rice and Leslie Rice all of Clay City, KY; two daughters: Marilyn Staton and Judy Lee Rice both of Clay City, KY; two brothers: Tim Gay and Tom (Jaylee) Gay both of Switz City, IN; four sisters: Carol Frye of Indianapolis, IN, Ella Lee (Wayne) Rush of Bloomington, IN, Sadie Vincent of Seffner, FL and Louise (Michael) Wasko of Logansport, IN; two grandchildren: William Arthur Staton, Jr. and Shauna Renee Staton and by one grandchild, Jonathan Keegan Staton. Visitation begins at 11:00 A.M. and funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 11, 2013 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY.
