Oren J. "Benerd" Lane, Jr. age 45, of Clay City, KY passed away on September 26, 2013 at his residence. Born in Campton, KY he was the son of Pauline Ballard Lane and the late Oren J. Lane. He was the owner of Lane's Used Tires. In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica Lane and by one brother, Dwight Lane. He is survived by his mother, Pauline Lane of Stanton, KY; one daughter, Amendia and her husband Jimmy Vice of Mt. Sterling, KY; one brother, Richard and his wife Sharon Lane of Clay City, KY; one sister, Charlotte and her husband Keith Profitt of Stanton, KY; one grandson, Carter Vice; three nephews: Logan Profitt, Josh Branham and Steven Branham and by two nieces: Megan Barnett and Cheyenne Profitt. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday and funeral services officiated by Bro. Steve Williams will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue in Stanton, KY. Interment will follow in the Lane Cemetery on Cat Creek Road in Stanton, KY with Keith Profitt, Logan Profitt, Josh Branham, Steven Branham, Jimmy Barnett, Dustin Watkins, James Miller and Glen Townsend serving as active pallbearers.
