Bobby Carl Powell, age 71, of Napier Lane, Clay City, KY passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at his residence. Born in Clay City, KY he was the son of the late Owen Powell and the late Hazel Todd Powell and he was a former brick layer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Powell; two sons, Bobby Carl Powell, Jr. and Billy Joe Powell; one daughter, Donna Sue Powell and by two sisters: Evelyn Marie Snowden and Dorothy Ann Moore. He is survived by one son, Kenny Powell of Clay City, KY; one daughter, Teresa Lynn Olinger of Clay City, KY; two brothers: Walter Earl Powell and Charles (Elizabeth) Powell both of Clay City, KY; five sisters: Shelby Jean (Hobart) Osborne, Carla (Leonard) Brake and Ethel Irene (Bill) Watkins all of Ohio, Betty Jo Centers of Florida and Carolyn Sue Miller of Clay City, KY and by six grandchildren: Lacey Powell, Robert Powell, Zach Powell, Heather Burcham, Linda Marie Bartley and Avery Powell. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 and funeral services officiated by Bro. M. C. Rice will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Powells Valley Cemetery, Clay City, KY alongside his wife, Linda Lou Powell. Active pallbearers are Donald Miller, James Miller, Chris Faulkner, Josh Chism, Jessie Chism, Jacob Chism and Avery Powell. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
