Evelee Knox Martin, age 71, formerly of Winchester, KY, passed away on May 27, 2013 at Lake Ridge Villa Healthcare Center Nursing Home in Cincinnati, OH. Born in Powell County, KY she was the daughter of the late Algin Thomas and Ada Kelly Knox. She was a member of Ark of Mercy Church of God and she was a former employee of Parker-Seal Factory in Lexington, KY. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Ray Knox and Ruford D. Knox. Surviving relatives include three children: Thomas Spence of Tokyo, Japan, Debbie (Donald) Small and Carla (Ray) Aldridge, both of Winchester, KY; two brothers: Otis (Illene) Knox of Harrodsburg, KY and Edgar (Betty) Knox of Dayton, OH; one sister, Edith (Kenneth) Lawson of Harrodsburg, KY; two grandchildren: Amanda (Jarrod) Crowe and Benjamin Young; one great grandchild, Abagail Crowe and her former husband, Alton Martin. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday and funeral services officiated by Rev. Chad Keathley and Rev. Janice Claypoole will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 31, 2013 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in the Crabtree-Hanks Cemetery on South Fork Road, Stanton, KY. Active pallbearers are Benjamin Young, Doug Lawson, Jarrod Crowe, Ray Aldridge, Donald Small and Chris Knox. Honorary pallbearers are Edgar Knox, Otis Knox, Kenneth Lawson and Kent Lawson.
