Everett Darren Pennington, age 46, of Allen Drive, Stanton, KY died at his residence Wednesday night, May 1, 2013. Darren was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, a member of Powell's Valley Baptist Church and a team member of Toyota Motor Company in Georgetown. He was an avid fisherman and a coach in the Red River Little League Softball League. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Ray Pennington, his sister, Dana Leigh Pennington and by his father-in-law, Louie Conley. He is survived by his wife, Beth Conley Pennington and their daughters, Adrian Leigh (Jacob) Morton and Alyssa D'Joy Pennington all of Stanton, KY; his parents, Everett and Elsie Joy Shepherd Pennington of Harlan, KY; two sisters: Gwen (Joby) Jenkins of Harrogate, TN and Sharon (Granville) Howerton of Middlesboro, KY and by his mother-in-law, Carolyn Conley of Stanton, KY. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday and funeral services officiated by Bro. Gary Willoughby and Bro. Kermit Creech will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Hearne Funeral Home, Inc., 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Stonegate Cemetery, 27 Stonegate Drive, Stanton, KY with Joseph Jenkins, Adam Jenkins, Tyler Brewer, Jacob Morton, Ryck Conley, Dave Smith, Keith Caldwell and Jeff Wilson serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Doug Brewer, Joby Jenkins, Granville Howerton, Troy Poe, Mike Pennington, Cory Dimaline, Mike Roberts, Steve Hale, Robert Whitley, Chris Hall, Jacob Patton, Jake Whitt and the Powell County High School Girls Softball Team.
