Robert "Bob" Ratliff, age 69, husband of Linda Martin Ratliff, of Wilda Lane, Stanton, KY died on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center, Lexington, KY. Born in Stanton, KY he was the son of the late Venard and Pauline Kirk Ratliff. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the City of Stanton and he was a former Powell County Deputy Sheriff. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Ratliff and by one sister, Geraldine Allen. Surviving relatives are his wife, Linda Martin Ratliff of Stanton, KY; two sons: David Ratliff of Stanton, KY and Daniel Ratliff of Lexington, KY; three brothers: Jerry (Lois) Ratliff, Earl Ratliff and Lloyd Ratliff; two sisters: Margaret Morton and Vivian (Phillip) Frazier and three granddaughters: Shanna Ratliff, Shawna Ratliff and Anna Grace Ratliff. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday and funeral service officiated by Rev. Marion Brewer will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Hearne Funeral Home, Inc., 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will follow in Stanton Cemetery with Teresa Koontz, John Skidmore, Richard Bishop, Walter Snowden, Willie Nolan and Chuck Cecil serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Shannon Brewer, Danny Boyd, Sammy Aylen, Joey Boyd, Stevie Boyd and Melvin Atkinson. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
