Etta Louise Ledford, age 72, of Jeffersonville, KY went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 18, 2013. She was born October 31,1940 to the late Hubert and Marie Martin Morrison in Frenchburg, KY. She married Arnold Ledford on April 4,1969. They resided near Slade, KY for many years, before relocating to Jeffersonville in 2011. Louise was a member of Jeffersonville Assembly of God. She loved the Lord and wanted to share that with her family and friends. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens. She was an avid gardener and canner. She was a wonderful cook, candymaker and craftswoman in quilting and crochet before poor health prevented her from doing many of the things she loved so much. She loved watching God's creatures in the wild. Louise was a Kentucky Colonel and the former owner of the Dixie Freeze and Southern Treat Restaurants. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Barbara Sue Pelfrey. Louise is survived by her husband, Arnold Ledford; four children: Ralph or Eddie (Debbie) Pelfrey and Ronnie (Regina) Pelfrey all of Stanton, KY; Darrell (Carol) Pelfrey of Clay City and Lisa (Phillip) Blythe of Jeffersonville, KY; six siblings: Violet Davis, Bud (Glenna) Morrison, Roger "Rudy" (Sandy) Morrison, Gary (Katherine) Ingram all of Stanton, KY, Kermit (Evelyn) Morrison, Hazel Green, KY and Ray Brown of Campton, KY; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; seven nieces and nine nephews. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. on Monday and funeral services officiated by Bro. Paul Day and Bro. Robbie Conn will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue in Stanton, KY. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery with Darrell Pelfrey, Jr., Tommy Pelfrey, Mike Frye, Steven Flinchum, Cody Cox, Cody Burke, Shade Blythe and Kevin Hatton serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are members of Jeffersonville Assembly of God, Tonya Conn, Janet Day, Scott and Trish Barnes, members of Full Gospel Lighthouse Church, Woodrow and Katherine Frazier, Roy and Monica Gentry, Gateway Home Health, former Dixie Freeze employees and former Southern Treat employees.
