Bernie Marvin Tolson, Jr., age 68, of Little North Fork Road, Stanton, KY passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born in Versailles, KY he was the son of the late Bernie Marvin Tolson, Sr. and the late Ethel Brown Tolson. He was a U S Army Veteran and a former employee of the University of Kentucky. Bernie was a member of American Legion Post 305, Clay City, KY and the Bee Keepers Club of Powell County. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and rook player at Trent's Garage. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers: William Earl Tolson, Darrell Tolson and Jimmy Ray Tolson. He is survived by his son, Stephen Tolson of Lexington, KY; his daughter, Reva (John Michael) White of Nicholasville, KY; his brother, Jack (Rita Shepherd) Tolson of Stanton, KY; one sister, Reva Helton of Lexington, KY; two grandchildren: Alexia White and Shelby White; one great grandchild, Taylor Jones and special family friend, Katie Shriver. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. on Monday and funeral services officiated by Rev. Anthony Molihan will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment with military honors will be in the Tolson Cemetery, Campton, KY. Active pallbearers are Stephen Tolson, Rick Tyra, Shane Tolson, Henry Ashley, Jr., Larry Epperson and Jackie Bruce Tolson.
